We’re sorta obsessed with the details. Island Time Catering is seed oil free — we don’t cook with canola, vegetable, soybean, or other processed seed oils. We skip the high-fructose corn syrup, artificial preservatives, and enriched grain fillers that sneak into most catered food. What we use instead: real ingredients, prepared in-house, by people who care.

Party Platter FAQs
How far in advance do I need to order party platters?
For most platter orders, we can turn things around with as little as 48 hours notice. Larger orders or busy weekends? Book earlier to lock in your date.
Do you deliver party platters?
Yes! We deliver throughout Rhode Island & Southern New England including Newport, Middletown, Providence, and surrounding areas. Contact us if you’re outside our standard delivery zone.
Is there a minimum order for party platters?
No minimum on platters and a la carte items. Pre-built packages start at 15 guests. Reach out and we’ll figure out what works for your headcount.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Absolutely. We offer gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, and other options. Let us know when you order and we’ll make sure everyone’s covered.
Why are you seed oil free?
Because we think it matters. Seed oils are loaded with chemicals (bleached, refinded & deodorized) and are found in almost everything in the food industry, and we’ve made the decision not to use them. We cook with better fats, better ingredients, and better practices — because the food we serve reflects who we are.
Can I mix and match platters?
Yes! Build your own spread using our a la carte options or start with a package and customize from there. We want your party food to be exactly what you’re looking for.
Do you do tastings?
Our sister restaurant is the Food Shack in Middletown, RI. Most items on our catering menu are also available in our restaurant. You can stop by anytime or contact us and we can set up a time to meet with you and try the food.

My first time using Island Time Catering, and solely going on the reviews they have had they did not disappoint! Their customer service was fantastic and only matched by the awesome food and the incredible J-House bar. The bar was the center piece and garnered a lot of turning heads by not only the guests, but by onlookers, as well.
We purchased the game day package for the Super Bowl and it was a 10 out of 10! All of the food was well packaged, the portions were generous (we opted for the 8-12 person version), and there were directions on how to reheat the meats and sides. We can't wait to order again!
Highly recommend these guys for your next gathering! They were able to get me a bit of a last minute catering order and everyone at the party loved it. The big hits were the taco buffet and the sliders! Support a local Aquidneck business and enjoy some delicious food!
